On the 8th, the Pohang Sports Council (Chairman Na Joo-young) presented a plaque of appreciation to Geunsu Kim, Director of the Pohang Roller Sports Federation and CEO of BOU&KO, in recognition of his contribution of 191 million KRW over three years to support elite roller sports athletes in the Pohang region.

According to the Pohang Sports Council, Director Kim donated 36 million KRW in 2022, 91 million KRW in 2023, and 64 million KRW in 2024, all dedicated to fostering local professional roller sports athletes.

Director Kim is a former short track speed skater with over 100 placements in national competitions. Since beginning his coaching career in 1991 at Gyeongan Girls’ Commercial High School in Andong, he has served as a coach for over 30 years, currently leading the Pohang Roller Sports Federation.

In 2019, he was appointed CEO of BOU&KO, the sole public enterprise of Bougainville, an autonomous region of Papua New Guinea. BOU&KO is engaged in a variety of initiatives focused on national reconstruction and infrastructure development across Bougainville.
